    Alexander Technique sessions are run on one to one basis, during which the qualified teacher will work with you to identify and address your needs giving you the tools to change long standing habits postural habits. This is accomplished through gentle hands-guidance and verbal explanations to help you find ease and balance within yourself in simple movements and everyday activities. Experience and observation whilst practising these techniques will result in increased awareness of ‘correct posture and balance’ which will enable your to aply these methods to more and more complex activities, reducing the inherent stress on your body and resulting pain levels.

    The Technique involves no specific exercises, requires no special equipment and as such can be practised where-ever you are. It is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

    The Alexander Technique was developed over 100 years ago by FM Alexander an Australian actor, he developed it as a method of solving his persistent vocal problems. Further use of the technique found it to be helpful for people from all walks of life with a wide variety of physical, mental or emotional habits stemming from ingrained postural habits.
